CHONGKOL
(JOHN) SETTHAKORN
is one of the leading pioneers in creating and teaching a modern curriculum of Northern style ancient Thai Massage. He incorporates movements and body postures from Tai Ji Qi Gong and Tai Chi Chuan creating a truly wonderful healing art.
For twenty years, Chongkol has taught people from all over the world the ancient art of Thai massage. In 1992, he founded the International Training Massage School (ITM) in Thailand to promote the Thai massage technique internationally.
Chongkol was the lead teacher at the Shivaga Komarpaj School (formerly the Old Medicine Hospital School) in Chiang Mai for six years (1985-1991). In this capacity Mr. Setthakorn helped to design the Thai Massage instruction and routines that are the standard in Chiang Mai for Northern Style Thai Massage.
Chongkol is licensed by the Ministry of Health as a professional in Thai Traditional Medicine (Thai Massage). Chongkol co-authored the book “Nuad Bo-Rarn, Ancient Massage of Thailand” in 2001 and the latest edition in 2009 with his wife, Atchara Setthakorn.
Chongkol is frequently requested to speak and train at international symposiums and seminars on health and massage. Some of his noteworthy appearances include:

ATCHARA
SETTHAKORN
received her training directly from Chongkol Setthakorn at the Old Medicine Hospital School in 1991 and is one of the senior teachers at ITM.
She is a very loving and generous spirit who can be seen around ITM tending her flower garden and bringing loving kindness to the students and staff of ITM. Atchara is certified as a teacher by the Thai Ministry of Education. She is also recognized by the Thai Alliance of Health (THAI) as an advanced Practitioner of Thai Massage and an Instructor.
She assisted Chongkol in authoring the book "Nuad Bo-Rarn, Ancient Massage of Thailand" published in 2001, and the latest edition in 2009. Atchara and her husband, Chongkol, have taught and lectured internationally.

is the President of Chiang Mai Spa Mantra, owned and operated by ITM and a senior teacher at ITM. Spa Mantra provides a wide range of therapies and Beauty Services.
Liz’s specialization and passion is in the use of Thai herbs and her special blends are used in Spa Mantra courses and services. She is fully qualified to train all of ITM’s courses and is recognized by the Thai Alliance of Health (THAI) as an advanced Practitioner of Thai Massage and an Instructor. Liz also attended a course in Trainer Development for Health Spa Service Provider.
Ms. Sitthisoonthorn is frequently requested to speak and train at international symposiums and seminars on health and massage. Some of her noteworthy appearances include:

Liz has also attended advanced training to be certified as a Master Trainer (teacher) by the Thai Ministry of Labor and the Thai Ministry of Education. Liz has lived in the USA for 8 years and is fluent in English, in addition to her native language of Thai. Liz also speaks Japanese.

is the Executive Managing Director of ITM, and a senior teacher. Kate has primary responsibility for ensuring that all business activities are managed and coordinated in both the ITM School and Chiang Mai Spa Mantra.
Kate is recognized by the Thai Alliance of Health (THAI) as an advanced Practitioner of Thai Massage and an Instructor. Kate has attended advanced training to be certified as a Master Trainer (teacher) by the Thai Ministry of Labor and the Thai Ministry of Education. She is fully qualified to train all of ITM’s courses.
Chulaluck Setthakorn earned an MBA in Internationally Business from the International University in Geneva, Switzerland and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. Kate has also completed a course in Traditional Thai Massage Assistant by Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry Thailand. She has studied Anatomy & Physiology and is CIBTAC certified.
In addition to Kate’s native language of Thai, she is also fluent in French and English. Kate is frequently requested to speak and train at international symposiums and seminars on health and massage. Some of her noteworthy appearances include:
